Belavi Facelift Massage

helps your skin battle its two biggest enemies--gravity and time.

This delightful technique is a pampering, relaxing massage that truly improves the appearance of your face! Through gentle acupressure, lymphatic drainage strokes and facial massage strokes, Belavi Facelift Massage can firm sagging skin, stimulate oxygen flow to facial tissue, release toxins, and soften lines. This unique technique and follow-up support system can make surface wrinkles less visible and slow down the formation of new ones.

In your treatment, your face will be cleansed with special cosmeceutical-grade products. You'll enjoy warm towel wraps and a full thirty minutes of facial massage using a fine-grade facial massage oil. After your face is massaged, your therapist will cleanse your skin again and apply Belavi's fine cosmeceutical-grade correctives and moisturizers. As part of your pampering during your session you will receive a hand massage and hot-towel foot massage.

Deep Cleansing Facial
Good for all skin types to rebalance, remineralize, and detoxify sluggish skin.

Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a non-chemical, non-surgical exfoliating procedure for rejuvenating and maintaining the skin's appearance. This treatment stimulates cells deep below the surface by exfoliating with micro crystals, revealing smoother, softer skin. Provides a great exfoliation and a healthy glow for any event. Crystal-less microdermabrasion is also available.

Chemical Peels
Our expert estheticians will determine which peel is best for your skin type. The Rejuvenation Center has a variety of peels to include: Glycolic, Lactic, Mandelic, TCA, Jessners, and Salicylic. We use only pharmaceutical grade peels from PCA, SkinCeuticals, and Glytone.

MicroPeel
The MicroPeel® is a three-step process that removes a micro-thin top layer of skin. The top layer is a significant obstruction to having better skin because it is pore-clogged. For patients with drier skin, this peel may also be performed without the use of alpha hydroxy acids. The procedure is safe, effective, and is accomplished in approximately 20-30 minutes, so it can be done on your lunch hour. You are able to reapply your makeup directly after the procedure.

When should I consider a MicroPeel®?
  • Acne prone skin
  • Pigmentation
  • Environmentally damaged skin
  • Fine lines/wrinkles
Anticipated Results: Results are seen in one to two weeks after the first treatment.
  • Improvement in the overall texture of the skin
  • Improvement in the contour and color of the skin
  • Softening of fine lines/wrinkles
Day of First Treatment:
  • Our skin care specialist will review you skin evaluation form with you
  • The skin care specialist will determine your skin type
  • She will explain, in detail, the micropeel and the maintenance program (products)
After First Treatment:
All skin care maintenance should be done on a consistent basis, usually every 3 to 4 weeks depending on your skin type, and it is ideal to have 6 to 8 treatments for optimal results.

MicroPeel Plus
The was specially formulated for patients who struggle with acne. This treatment uses of beta hydroxy (salicylic) acid, which is very antiseptic and will help eliminate the overproduced sebum that causes breakouts. The MicroPeel Plus is great in refining skin texture and clearing up irregularities. You may or may not continue to peel after this treatment. Some patients experience anywhere from 3 to 5 days of exfoliation of the skin.

Laser Hair Removal
Why are Lasers a Better Solution than Traditional Hair-Removal Systems?

Traditional hair-removal techniques, such as shaving, plucking, and waxing, provide only temporary relief. Electrolysis, although it can result in lessening hair growth, often requires years of ongoing and frequently painful treatments. Allergic reactions and ingrown hairs are common side effects of all these hair-removal methods.

The Cutera laser safely removes unwanted facial and body hair by selectively targeting the pigment inside the hair shafts and sufficiently heating the pigment to destroy the hair follicles without damaging the delicate pores and structures of the skin. This laser can be used on any skin color, even dark or sun-tanned skin.

What Is Involved in the Process?
The skin is numbed before the laser pulses are applied, and the Cutera Cool Glide laser's handpiece also cools the skin during lasering. Most people experience no more than a slight stinging sensation as the laser pulses are applied. Some parts of the body do tend to be more sensitive than others, and sometimes slight redness or swelling will occur for a few hours afterwards.

How Many Sessions Are Needed?
The number of sessions will vary for each individual and will also depend upon where the hair is located on the body. During the initial procedure, the laser removes the visible hair and disables those follicles in the "active" phase of the growth cycle. Follicles in the "resting" phase will not be affected. Eventually, as these dormant hairs become active and begin to grow, additional sessions may be desired. Over time, hair growth is greatly diminished. Razor bumps typically improve dramatically with only one or two sessions.

Eyelash Extensions
A revolutionary way to achieve longer, thicker, natural looking eyelashes. Eyelash extensions are not traditional fake eyelash strips – they are semi-permanent individual lash extensions, applied directly to individual lashes for a natural look and feel by our expert esthetician. Previously a Hollywood beauty secret, we are the first in Murfreesboro to offer eyelash extensions from Xtreme Lashes™!

Fraxel Laser

Who Is It For
The Fraxel Laser is a new treatment for wrinkles around the eyes, age and sun spots, and sun damaged skin. The Fraxel laser just became available in April of 2004, and The Rejuvenation Center was the first in Middle Tennessee to obtain this laser and make it available to patients.

How It Works
The Fraxel Laser utilizes a new technology called Fractional Resurfacing. With Fractional Resurfacing Technology, only a fraction of the skin receives the laser light. The laser delivers a series of microscopic closely spaced laser spots to the skin while simultaneously preserving normal healthy skin between the laser spots. This preservation of healthy skin results in rapid healing following the laser treatment. The entire face can be treated with the laser in approximately 30 minutes.

Results
Treatments with the Fraxel SR laser have no significant recovery downtime. There is no need for pain medicine after the treatment, as any discomfort from the procedure is minimal. Patients can return to work immediately after their treatment or the next day. Optimum results are generally achieved by a series of 3 to 5 treatment sessions spaced at least two weeks apart. Patients have been very pleased with the improvement in their skin's appearance following the treatments.

Still Not Sure? — Read our Q & A

  1. What is the Fraxel laser used for?
The Fraxel laser is used to treat age spots, sunspots, wrinkles around the eyes, upper lip lines ("smoker's lines"), sun-damaged skin, and acne scars. Today, it is the gold standard for the treatment of acne scars in patients who want to minimize their downtime.
  2. Is the Fraxel laser FDA approved?
Yes. The Fraxel laser is FDA approved for use in skin resurfacing. It is also FDA approved for use in the correction of pigmented lesions, such as age spots, sun spots, and discolored skin, the treatment of wrinkles around the eyes, and melasma.
  3. How many Fraxel laser treatments will I need?
With each Fraxel laser treatment, approximately 17%-20% of the skin's surface is treated. Therefore, we recommend a series of four or five Fraxel laser treatments to achieve the optimum result. Fraxel laser treatments are performed at two to four week intervals.
  4. What can I expect after a Fraxel laser treatment?
Fraxel laser treatments offer rapid healing and minimal downtime. Patients typically have some swelling and redness. The swelling generally subsides in a day or so, and the redness usually fades over a few days. Patients can apply make-up shortly after their treatment and generally return to normal activity the following day. Patients do not have any oozing or crusting after Fraxel laser treatments.
